It's been more than 2 months since I last wrote on my blog, and it itched me. At first, it was just a week skip, and then the second, and then the third... And when I realise that it's been too long, it was already too late. I sometimes urged myself to write, but then I kept procrastinating, and life kept pushing things into me, and I propel mindlessly in the river of matters.
Never skip anything twice in a row, as it takes so much effort to even kick-start it again.
And today, I decide to change it, it's finally the beginning of June, flowers are blooming and I finally can go out even in midnight without carrying a thick jacket. I feel like it's time that I started to change myself.
Or to sprout, once again, it's summer time.
To get started, here's my update of my life till now.
The Transition
After all of the moving out stuffs, I can understand why many people choose to simply settle down at one place for the rest of their life.
Because it takes a lot of work and energy.
The time that you spend on the train, with all the luggages and boxes you stack up under your seat, up above your head, behind your seat, everywhere you see, there are your stuffs. You carry them on to the train, then you carry to your home, and then the cycle repeats itself several times.
Not to mention when there is a strike, and there is no train in service, and you have to carry all that stuffs on foot.
It happened to me :').
I moved out on the day that there's a strike, and I, with Abdullah, my lovely most wonderful person in the world, carried all my things down onto cobblestone pavers which are so aesthetic but totally a nightmare for rolling luggages.
Upon getting on the train, we were both wet and exhausted. The train then took 5 hours from Halle, my current place, to Hamburg.
And it repeated for one more time, we went back to Halle again, carried everything onto the train, were wet, exhausted, 5 hours to Hamburg, and unloaded everything.
But it was such a nice memory with you, Abdu, thanks for always being with me.
Also, I bid my farewell to Halle. Such wonderful memories with my friends, my time in Studienkolleg Halle was just wonderful, so happy, so full of joy that it passed so quickly. Now, we are all university students, and we see it as our once-in-a-life-time event -- I think we wish never to return to it, but always look back to it with good memories.
Back to moving, you think that bringing everything to Hamburg is the only thing?
No!
I changed my dorm two times! It’s because I couldn’t find a fixed place, so I lived the first month in a SOS dorm - It’s for everyone who haven’t found a place yet. The stay is only one month because this dorm is about to be demolished lol.
And I even got it from a lottery organised by my University to draw lucky people to obtain a room on the spot.
I wasn’t lucky thought.
But then, I got acceptance at this dorm, and it’s THE BEST THING EVER!!!

New Life
Making new friends
Settling down in a new place in which you know no one is hard, but here, I met Abdu, and thanks to him, my start in Hamburg was charming and full of laughters.
University life
I finally started my first semester in Illustration in HAW Hamburg. My daily life is just drawing drawing and drawing and I love it! The study makes me draw everyday, and offers me a place to practice my art, and I can see my skills slowly improving.
The funny thing is that, in the whole semester of 45 people, I'm the only foreigner here, and yes of course, I must speak German. It was a huge struggle at first, because I'm so used to speaking English. Also, during Studienkolleg, I also only spoke English, and now I face my consequence :'D. But thanks to that, my German got better and better, and I didn't pause a lot to think of the words anymore!
Exploring Hamburg: Too Good To Go?
It's been an inseparable part of what I like to do in a new city: Check its Too Good To Go!
And Hamburg doesn't let me down.
There is this Chinese Restaurant that I really love especially those days when I don't cook. For 4,5 euros, it's more than enough for 2 meals, and there is always a sushi box inside.
Or this gas station, for 3,5 euros you get a huge bag of sandwiches.
Oh Hamburg!
And my usual life is revolving around trying every Too Good To Go in Hamburg hahaahaa.
The future of this blog and my website
I must admit, I'm a person that cannot stick to a project for long, I keep switching, and then find a project that I actually like, do it for a couple of days, skip one day, and then the second, and then third... and then never again.
But let change it today!
I will publish on this blog on Monday and Thursday.
On Monday, it will be the post type that I have been posting on here: A long column revolving around art, film, and life.
On Thursday, I will share 10 things that have made my week. This is an idea I steal from Austin Kleon, which I find pretty interesting and is also a way to have a peak into the life of the writer -- What do they do everyday.
I also commit to do a project every 2 week, and I will update my project on my website chynnerio.com, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, I will update you my process. Stay tuned!
So here is the plan!
If you have read till this line, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Thank you for reading my blog and always support me till now.
See you soon!
